John Cahill our executive Chairman has worked in the insurance industry for 45 years. John started his insurance career in industry and commerce working in the insurance department for a group of companies in the food, engineering and technology industries which were subsidiary companies of a London based PLC.  John was eventually made a main board director of the group with special responsibility for the group’s insurance interests. He was appointed executive Chairman of the group’s subsidiary Lloyd’s broking company and Managing Director of the group’s insurance division.

After many years in industry and commerce John Cahill joined a firm of Lloyd’s brokers as a main board director of marine insurance and subsequently joined another Lloyd’s broker for a short time, but decided to leave and start his own insurance business in October 1995 and commenced trading as the “John Cahill Group of Companies” on 1 January 1996.

John Cahill has a great deal of experience in both the marine and non-marine fields and his speciality is domestic and international corporate marine and non-marine business.

Having worked in the London market for over 30 years, Barry is a highly experienced Non-Marine Reinsurance and Insurance Professional with expertise across a range of territories and classes, where he has strong personal contact within the Treaty and Facultative Markets.  Barry started his career as an underwriter in 1975 and moved to Lloyd’s in 1981 for a major underwriting agency, where he became the Active Underwriter in 1989.  Barry now handles a broad based Worldwide Non-Marine portfolio of Property and Liability business including binders and treaty business.
